After some thinking, and bothering people for ideas, I've decided that I want to manage my time better! Like many of my classmates, I'm pretty awesome at procrastinating, cramming, and wasting time. Some examples you might recognize include:
Spending the night before tests and quizzes monstrously cramming.
Furiously working on assignments that I have 3 weeks to do, but on the night before its due.
Staring into space when I'm certain there's much work to be done.
Spending entire weekends gaming and grinding.
You know, stuff like that! (it does happen to other people... right?)
I know I can try to change just by well... actually planning it out and doing it, but I'm not sure how I can apply operant conditioning do this behavior change. Does anyone else have problems with time management? If you do... what tips can you offer?

One big tip is to prioritize the things you have to do. This sounds easy, but it's hard. Things that are more important and due earlier should be done before those that might be more enjoyable but due later.
Something else is to think about is what kind of person you are. Do you enjoy studying for a long time with no breaks, or are a person who need a 5-10 minute break between readings?
Also, take away your distractions. If there are 5 people iming you at the same time, food near you, or loud noise, then that is not a good place to study.
Last but not least, I think the easiest way to manage my time is write everything down on a list that I want to accomplish that day. As the day goes by, you can re-arrange your schedule in your mind - ie "This is due tomorrow but I feel like exercising right now. I'll time myself and exercise for 15 minutes then get right to work." Timing yourself is also important, as well as keeping your own promises.
GL, it's rewarding in the end, and you won't feel rushed, stressed, and panicked anymore.
hei i really like your comment for me! now is my turn to give you suggestion haha..i know that your in honors club 'coz u have this psych 1AH class with me, so i assume that you have the ability of quick learning (smart). i am a type of person that can get a high grade by learning for quite a long time. for example, i study for 4 hours while others can only study for 2 hours. i am not a quick learner but i am a diligent person. i am really committed in what i'm doing. i am a good planner. i do everything according to the goal that i've set. can u imagine if you can plan everything and do it accordingly? You can already get such high grades by procrastinating, but you could do way better if you don't procrastinate! if i have that ability of quick learning, i will do more and more great things. You have to know that you are smart because you can get high grades and good scores just by studying the night before. That is why, you have to use your ability to the fullest! do not waste it! believe me, once you try to plan everything at first, you will acomplish more great things. i am not promising you that it is easy to plan things out and do it right away, but i highly encourage you to do it! you'll be amazed by things that you acomplished!
good luck!
Oh. My. Gosh.
I have no idea how to manage my time!
I usually have everything set out and planned, but then i get sidetracked from like a drama ( I can never stop in the middle of a drama...) , or a game, or manga&anime *u*
So yeah, I'm a lost cause.
Although, when it comes to assignments that are given with a lot of time, I like to finish those really early. That way I have time for people to look at it. (And plus i get to brag about how fast i finished *__*)
My best advice: TURN OFF YOUR PHONE AND DON'T GO ONLINE unless absolutely necessary. (YOUTUBE is a real killer for me x_x!)
I think this is one of the most important behavior changes one has to learn. It is the only way one is able to survive in such a fast paced society. So, I really think this is a great operant behavior study. Hope it works out, and if it does, tell me what you did because as of right now, I am the biggest procrastinator.
